Yesterday saw me hit the wall in a physical sense. Totally ran out of energy operating as I was on a small ham sandwich

Firstly, the Doctor appointment yielded the information I appeared in remission from the skin cancer. An easy cancer to treat, I’m informed. I must now see the follow-up of twice a year for the next five years.

A small price, I suppose. The problem, of course, is if it comes back I will nee treatment and the five years is re-set.

My pot finally boiled. The small package from LL Bean arrived shortly after I returned home yesterday. Opening the mail box was a chore as the post man had crammed that package in. It contained optics.

One can imagine my  reaction tugging it out of the box.

Fortunately only the outer box of the package had suffered damage. The inner was intact.

My Christmas dinner has been planned, purchased and is sitting in the freezer waiting my attention – which it will not receive until I figure out the football game schedules..

I’d rather eat baloney and chips than be cooking during the game.

Oh – yeah. I bought some more of the Doctors recommended skin conditioner from Amazon. It came in Tuesday. Lots of it. When I saw the Doctor yesterday she said that I didn’t need tp use ot any more.

So, I talked with Renters wife. She uses the same stuff. I asked her if she wanted the buy I’d received and she said she no longer uses the stuff. So, no. She didn’t want it.

I’ll be the only retired farmer in the Township using face cream skin softener, I guess. Darned if I’m allowing it to go to waste.

And, please.  Not a word about plucking eye brows.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
