TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) — A Topeka man will spend more than 71 years in prison for the murder of a woman who had just gotten married.
Shawnee Co. court records show Thomas Brown was sentenced to life, plus 54 years, on Tuesday for the shooting death of Tiffany Davenport-Ray and the attempted murder of her husband Melvin.
In May 2014, they had just left their wedding reception. The newlyweds were riding in the 1900-block of S. Kansas Ave. when shots were fired.
Brown was found guilty of premeditated first degree murder in July.
Awnterio Lowery, the driver of the vehicle Brown was in, is currently serving a life sentence.’
Reminds me of the mouse and the train. Mouse jumped the tracks. The train took a part of his tail. Mouse turned back to see what happened and the train took his head.
