I’ve been having problems with the net in the early mornings. About a month ago it was in the afternoon.
My best guess is the sun angles allowing me to access Google and WordPress. That’s even after my ISP advised me they would be working on the system from mid-night to dawn.
Anyhow. . .
I’ve always been fascinated in a mild way by the government going after businesses for price fixing and collusion. Most businesses would probably agree that they set their prices b y observing what other businesses sell the same product.
Some businesses you’ve seen do it – gas stations. Theirs are called price wars.
Now ever, the government goes after them from time to time for gouging, price fixing, and collusion.
Then one comes across something like this:
Bartlesville city officials will commission a wage assessment survey to see how city employee wages compare to those in similar-sized cities before proceeding with cost-of-living and merit raises
Which is clearly a public statement of wage fixing, and, if taken to court, they would claim that it is just an attempt to go along to get along.
Politically speaking, of course.
