WICHITA — Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach is planning to use provisional ballots during the upcoming elections and then throw out all of the votes for state and local races cast by the thousands of voters who register to vote at motor vehicle offices without providing proof of citizenship.
An email sent from Kobach’s office to county election officials outlines the state’s proposed plans for implementing a two-tiered election system in the wake of a federal court order requiring Kansas to allow these voters to cast ballots at least in the federal races.
We get closer and closer to the election; closer and closer to the crux of the Democratic/Republican point of contention of who’s a citizen – the illegal immigrants or not.
The Republican legislature, lead by the governor has been chipping away at the Democratic money give away programs of welfare, subsistence programs, voter registration at the Motor Vehicle licensing booths. And many other Democratic loved expand the borders to the world programs.
I’m not sure, and as the program comes from the State Attorney I cannot really complain, but I feel the State has a right to control the voting qualifications of its citizens – as long as one can prove they are a citizen, and exclude even Federal Votes if the preson is not a citizen.
That seems logical to me any how. Counties control the county, State the State, and the Feds take the result and run with it.
Let’s go way back: Have the Congress Senate appointed by the State Governor and the house be elected by the electorate, along with the President. That way the State has some control of its expenses at the Federal level and some idea of what is happening in the upper government Then we the people can kick the whole bunch to hell when they come butt kissing around for a pay raise and better retirement.
And they can more easily get over their idea of royal privilege of automatic re-election.
