I have only two items from the local politics today. I’m really off on a pisser of a rant about insurance and insurance agents this morning. More’s the pity.

Wichita school officials playing waiting game with legislature

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Officials with the largest school district in the state say they’re playing a waiting game with state officials as they try to plan ahead in case the Kansas Supreme

Oddly, I’m blaming the Teachers Unions for most of the school problems.

And next:

Kansas voting rules confusing for upcoming elections

WICHITA – Thousands of wanna-be Kansas voters who thought they might not be able to cast ballots for president and other federal officials this year are now eligible to vote in them – but not in state or local races. WICHITA – Thousands of wanna …

We’ve spoken of both of these over the few months. The second item, no matter the seemingly old-ness of the date at the end of the article, is connected with recent action by the governor, him wanting all un-registered citizens registered.

See how cleverly I avoided s’’ying he wants all illegals registered so he can stop some  of the cash out-flow in family aid and welfare, as well as the voting fraud. One would think I’m a flaming Liberal Democrat the way I avoided illegal immigrant.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
