-The weather builds. The prognosticators are calling for isolated T-Storms and rain, later. For the morning the wind is coming up, high thin clouds and for Tuesday they are telling us it will be worse.

Belch. We don’t need that. Tornados belong to fiction writers.

I was slow starting today. Renter came over last evening and was worried about the grass. I told him, as part of an on-going argument of nothing, that when he was ready to put calves on the grass, do it. He didn’t need anymore permissions or encouragement.

Of course, I haven’t checked the fence in a month or so. I’m not sure he’ll do it before putting calves on the grass – matter of fact, I’m not sure he will have the calves to put on it. He has mentioned having to buy more from the auction house.

His small herd produced seven bull calves this year. He sold them all as bulls. Not too bad from a small twelve cow controlled herd. Although the one heifer he got pleased him a great deal more. She represents the future of his herd. He does have two or so cows that are getting long in the tooth, so to speak.

From the mundane to the past; well, to my life long interest in flying machines.

Japanese prototype stealth plane makes first flight

The X2, which took off from Nagoya airport Friday and flew 25 minutes, makes Japan one of only a handful of nations with airplane stealth capabilities.

I’m happy to see a defense partner use their own resources to produce a defensive weapon. I’m grateful our industry and military haven’ t had to spoon feed another “brother” forever and force us to defend them.

Yeah. Trump might have a point.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
