It is snowing out there.

After finally getting some rain over night, that rain turned, about 8 A.M. into big wet sloppy snow flakes. Warm air snow. Still it is moisture.

That should be good for Barber County and that big range fire there, extending into OK.

We had a local range fire that took four different fire districts three days to stomp out. Pity the crews. They arrive at those fires and go until they drop. Three days is very tiring.

From time to time I’ve mentioned whackyweed coming into the State. I’ve included several small articles of various car chases and the State laws changing to allow County Mounties the right to operate on National and State roadways in an effort to combat drug trafficking.

Kansas marijuana activist sues state over son’s removal

WICHITA, Kan. – A western Kansas woman is suing the state and some of the agencies involved in questioning and removing her 11-year-old son from her home after he spoke up at school about her possessing and using marijuana

The article quoted above is the latest round in a familiar two step in the drug dance. The state has targeted minor children for years, making them a penalty in the dance with the parents.

Ks and NE have law suits against CO  for allowing their drugs to cross the borders.

It’s like watching the shock waves of a bomb or other explosives expand and back fill.

If you add in the judicial upheaval the state is experiencing one will get the idea times are changing in KS. Some of it is not so pretty.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
