If I were honest, and I’m not always so, I’d say that PHX would beat the Packers, which I did believe. Never, however, in my wildest, did I think it would be such a great stinking game.

That’s not in a bad way, mind. It was a whale of a game.

Now the Pats and Chiefs game? Meh. I gave, in that secret place one cannot lie to oneself, I’d chosen the Chiefs. I’d determined that the Pats were out of it for the season – wrong.

Actually, watching the game, the Chiefs were out of it after that first drive by the Pats. The resurgence in the late third and early fourth quarters by the Chiefs was more desperation and grim determination than anything else.

But, hey, isn’t that what the game is about? Grim determination and pure guts. Well, maybe it is an organized way for crazy people to commit brutality on one another, keeping the aggression confined to a green pasture, like.

It was a good Saturday.

Speaking of aggression and fear:

In Wichita, Muslims find hate, support (+videos)

Wichita Eagle

Muslims in Wichita are feeling the heat since national and local politicians lashed out at them after recent terror attacks. But they also say non-Muslim Kansans have sent flowers, notes and drawings of flowers and puppies done by children.

The following is a musing type question of myself.

Are the Muslims just putting on the stuff to deflect attention?

I mean, like the Jews need food relief and the Blacks need repatriations. Really? I rather hate to admit it, but I’m seeing the same pictures that Trump claims to have seen. On FOX, whether O’Reilly, after showing them without the announcers voice, chastized Trump that he was seeing things.

I also heard the announcer change his tune in the same clip to claim that it was not thousands cheering in N>J. but hundreds, then many and then fifty or so. But that he’d heard of more.

O’Reilly didn’t air the voice, but did air selected clips. The No Spinner spun. Trump was a gentleman about it and simply looked skeptical.

And dra-mama did do an irresponsible thing this past week, didn’t he? A couple of them, really. Who knows what the hell the Navy was up to in the Fharsi Island business. It’ll have to join with Benghazi  and Hillary’s eMails in the mucky reaches of cover-ups and never minds.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
