It is looking like spring out there this morning. Cool, clear and promises of a warm day. Not entirely sure that is a good thing, but I’ll take it.

The man charged with murdering the WSU student plead Guilty to Murder in court the other day. That closes that case out for the Wichita Police. The police are asking for public help in solving a series of break-ins at various Storage Areas, however.

Mind-bending fun: Interactive escape rooms test your detective skills

From left, Grace Gaylon, Kaleb Todd, Grant Gaylon, Katie Todd and Annette Kreis look for clues as the try to get out of a room at Wichita Room Escape.

See how clever I was getting to these rooms. We use to have this type of fun by renting hotel rooms and solving the problems as a team event, or simply do it at a group members home. I’ve mentioned that there were tentative plans to open complete rooms for gamers – a single room for a number of role players. There hasn’t been a follow-up report published that I’m aware of, but it has been a number of months since those plans were announced in the Wichita paper.

Around home things remain quiet. The disaster siren went off for about five minutes the other day – it worked extraordinarily well. The new secretary didn’t know how to turn off the power and reset it. She had to endure the noise until someone responded.

Nope. No dogs are lying in the dusty main street of small town Ks. There are a number of loose  ones running about however. It is amazing how many driver complain about them, and still slow and show caution when driving through the location where those dogs are known to playing in the streets.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
