Politics first, this day, I suppose.

The Donald points the finger at the Southern Border and Illegal Aliens as a bad thing. I’m inclined to agree in many respects. I’ve been snipping articles and headlines from the feeds for months now.

Many of the murders and assaults have origins in areas of the packing houses – Dodge City, Garden City, Emporia, Wichita. A few of the incidents happen in “Bedroom” communities Hispanics use.

I’ve mentioned that a man was stabbed to death in his SUV on a Wichita street. Five men have been charged in that murder. It appears that the dead man was stabbed to death in an apartment and was placed in the SUV.

All charged seem to be Hispanic.

A packing house, for those not familiar with them is not a nice place to work. Several of the folks in this area worked in the packing houses of Emporia. They all quit as soon as they could find another job, outside the slaughter house.

As an aside, one of the finest musicians I know (which isn’t an abundance of musicians) was a life long slaughter house worker. His retirement is substantial And deserved. He plays: violin, piano, guitar, mandolin, and fiddle. He was a member of a local band and played ight at some of the road houses, back when those were popular – and tolerated by the law.

Profiling is not suppose to be legal. If not, why are we keeping list, like the no-fly list, the gun owners list, a perp list and all the other lists we’re so in love with?

It is all profiling, even that list of which area’s whomever congregate within.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
