The next few entries to the blog should be interesting. I had a problem with Windows Live Writer and WordPress yesterday. The techie that responded to my electronic plea for enlightenment indicated that Live Writer was “so yesterday” that I could expect problems, now and in the future.
The faceless individual was content to recommend this, the WordPress, in house writer – Ah, after chewing my rear and not addressing my questions directly. This writer is a clunky to me, as a new toy, of course. This is the test drive. I’m afraid to try loading a picture. Well,, not afraid, I don’t think, Just unsure how the sucker works. Live Writer used a very easy interface that opened my pictures and allowed me to simply click on a pic, size as I wished and done. This program didn’t come with directions.
Around my area some fellow held up a Dollar Store with a meat cleaver. Another man got clobbered by a family member with a leveling tool (he suffered a four inch gash in his head). Another was stabbed to death in his privately owned vehicle o n a Wichita street – no clues. Yet another used a knife to hold up another store and one un-imaginitive fellow used a hand gun to hold up a Golf Indoor Range.
Which reminds me; a woman got mad at a fellow fem and attacked her with a golf club. No report on the clubs she used.
Nearer home, someone out there had a fire. Both of the small trucks left in a hurry yesterday evening and sometime later the five thousand gallon tanker took off in the same direction.
The greater area saw dozens of accident weather related. Slide-offs, roll-overs and multi-car accidents.
It appears the Christmas season saw our first responders responding. The public is being warned that trash pickup might be delayed due to the weather.
I think I’ve pretty well covered all the points of interest, with the exception of the roads and grounds folks saying they are out sanding and salting the roads “ahead of the snows that might come.”
