Frappin’ Skins won an away game.

Figures.

Now that they seem to have an ability to keep both thumbs in sight they’ll probably, collectively, will stop on the PrimRose trail and smell – a rose or a thumb. It won’t matter.

The coach on the NFL channel gave the Skins a Zero percentage of winning a Super Bowl berth. He did hedge on reaching the second game of the playoffs.

I did enjoy the game; in between the outages of the channel. Due, probably, to the Texas storms. Thoughts out to the afflicted in Texas, by the way.

We got very high winds and lots of rain. Went out this morning and there are small limbs every where, and a couple of tiles missing from the shed roof. Didn’t see any trees down in the immediate area, so all’s well in this pea patch. Temps are more seasonal normal. Cold. Which isn’t all bad. Something needs to kill the fleas and ticks, to say nothing of controlling the chigger population.

I’ve gotten the bird feeders prop’ed and ready to put out. Renter left a whole 55 gallon barrel of cracked corn this year. I should probably use it up, never mind feeding the tree rats.

I’ve an ulterior motive, of course. I cleaned and oiled the pellet rifle.

Come, Tree Rats. Come feed.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
