ouYup.

There will be a parade in Augusta Ks for small businesses 28 Nov. There will be a series o activities for Christmas, starting today, around South Central Ks.

Take that Amazon, and sundry On-Line stores. Humph.

Then Hutchinson’s paper did their Ten Things again today. The second one caught my attention over the first one.

The first said the tempature in 1938 was twenty-eight and things went to hell; but that fine, I suppose. Heating wasn’t quite what it is today. The second one, though, that was the one, like I said:

In late November 1988, holiday celebrations were put on hold in the Midwest and Southern regions when 49 tornadoes churned a trail of destruction through the states killing and injuring several people. The storm also brought in the season’s first snowfall that caused thousands of dollars in damage.

Tornados to Kansans are earthquakes to Californians. I mean, they happen, sure, but if one happens, it happens.

Amazing how many people will not move away. Amazing.

Did you notice? The Redskins lost by 4.

Four times the points they, themselves, scored.

Sigh.

But, hey; the dreadful Cowboys got Romo back.  They won. Hateful thoughts. It’s been a bad weekend. I got five calls from the Branson Travel Group. I’ve received about thirty calls from those people and the one just a few minutes ago got to me. I invited them to hell and told them not to call again.

Care to put money on that being effective?

The day, however, is clear, cool, sunny, and beautiful out there. Dog is enjoying talking across five lots and three houses to a group of other dogs.

I not sure what he is telling them, but they aren’t answering him.

Poor sod.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
