Computer problems. They boiled down to the ISP problems, so it appears. They have been doing work on the system for the past couple of weeks and things, as normal, go wrong when the system is brought up to spec’s.

The computer/router appeared fixed, and the cable TV started to act up. I’m not sure what that is all about.

I’’m on a spur off the  village main loop, so when they work on things it is usually on the main loop somewhere out of sight – but they don’t leave it out of mind.

The Steelers lost. I did get that game finished. Big Ben has lost his rhythm and footing with that brace. He needs some dance lessons. I think he got in three INT’s.  Both teams were playing hard. Several injuries.

I had a couple of the locals over wanting to know what I had to do with “catching” the thieves that took near neighbors trailer. Evidently the word has spread through near neighbors mother. Foul mouthed biddy she is.

I told the village councilor the truth and fluffed off the simply curious. I also had several drive by very slowly eye-ing the eves of the house, looking for cameras.

Ruddy rumps.

Those ball game in England have messed up my game watching. I can’t remember whether we’ll have a late afternoon game or whether the England game counts for the early games, and the noon game count as the afternoon game.

Love it when people screw with my mind.

And . . .

Someone out there is firing off very large fireworks. There has been several down south, and now they’ve worked their way to the ball field across the road.

Dog was trying to tell me something when one went very nearby. I suppose I should crank up the cameras, but I haven’t the will.

It is too fine a day.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
