Let’s clean up a couple of misconceptions. Near neighbor is a petty thief. He’s also a pony for carrying about drugs and collecting money. He gets drunk, and according to one of his relatives, threatens to kill her about once a month. She maintains that he is fundamentally a nice boy and she knows he wouldn’t really kill her.

Fine and well. I on the other hand think little of the guy. I was also tickled to see that trailer follow that PU up the road. It serves my little black heart well to see a thief get stolen from. Especially for the amount of money that theft represented.

Second item: Cancer. Yeah. I did make some remark about QVC.

I believe that charity is a tax deductible thing. If you give take it off the taxes. BUT, when you buy a special, you buy it. It isn’t chartable  and isn’t deductible, is it?

The winner I see, looking at that advertisement is QVC and the shoe manufacturer – if it is US based.

QVC, let’s say, orders a thousand pair planning on the sale.

The maker sells the shoes at a reduced price based on the charity aspect of it all. They give also, right?

So the maker gets an income reduction to the tune of the sale reduction to QVC, and QVC gets a mark down on income because of the reduction in price based on charity, and the buyer . . .

Well. The buyer get the bill. No deduction of income because they buy merchandise, not contributed to charity.

And paid postage on top of that, probably, maybe.

So that is what the BB’s in the empty head tell me about the heart stopping advertisement I talked about.

The mystic’s of numbers strikes again, because the deduction to the maker and the seller are based on the agreed upon “normal” asking price before the sale for the item concerned.

In other words, the maker and seller set the price.

Please. It should be clear enough a skeptic is not necessarily against cancer cures.

Of course, Donald Trump is quite correct that the towers came down during Bush’s term and we were not quite safe. Donald also didn’t point out that Iraq threatened the lives of the Bush’s.

Did. International politics is played with army’s, not cream puffs and courts of law. The law knows politics and disappear during war.

Yes? Yes.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
