It is the season, I suppose. I hadn’t given it much – any – thought.
I’m told that my side of the family died in the influenza scourge in this area a long time ago.
I say I’m told because my mothers side was more concerned with the direct line of descent on the female side and we boys suffered the ignorance of neglect. We knew our father (thank God) but I didn’t meet anyone from the fathers side until I buried him. I’m not sure that my brother has ever met any on the patrons side.
Maybe. We were never what one could call a close knit family on that side.
Anyhow, get your shots and enjoy.
