Of course, it is August.
WSU is having their share of problems, I see:
Wichita State University police are investigating a student’s death early Saturday morning in the parking lot of Fairmount Towers on the WSU campus.
Officers with the Wichita Police Department are assisting in the investigation.
Wichita police Sgt. Paul Kimble said police received a call shortly before 6:30 a.m. Saturday from “somebody leaving for work” to check on a man lying in the parking lot of the dormitory.
When police arrived, they found the man beside a car unresponsive and covered in blood, with an injury to his arm and apparent gunshot wounds, Kimble said.
Salina, another mid-kansas city, near the junction of I-70/35, and a technical training hub for many trades, had another serious incident.
I wondered, when the right to carry without permit was legal, and in concert with a constitutional change of gun ownership and usage, if the use rate in such incidents would go up.
Without doubt (and serious statistics) it appears to have.
I suppose waiting for the year end numbers will prove the surmise. I’ll be interested in the demographics of the aggregation.
