Fox is busy hyping their debate scheduled for tonight.

dra-mama is busy trying to get his face on TV (as always) in front of the debate.

Hillary is busy ducking the court system and a server problem.

The Donald is doing something unspecified.

And, last but not least, O’Rielly is looking confused on his Factor.

I’ve concluded, over time, that the more positive and opinionated O’Rielly is on a subject, the less correct he is in his opinion.

One item that seems indisputable, and one which even FOX News has crowed of exposing as no other news source can or will, is the job market:

US job layoffs reach highest level in 4 years

No, no. FOX does that often enough. The hyping of the job losses. They do.

It’s the place so many of the jobless are coming from:

The only good news here is that over half of the job cuts were the result of massive troop and civilian workforce reductions announced by the United States Army. Those cutbacks are shown to eliminate 57,000 from government payrolls over the next two years.

The miserable job market really needs some help. I’m thinking the working vs. non-working is reaching parity and that ain’t a good thing.

Another bad trend is that July’s surge now brings the year-to-date job cuts up to a total of 393,368. That is 34% higher than the run rate for the same period in 2014. Also, this is the highest seven-month total since 2009, and that was effectively before the jobs recovery started in the recession

There’s an old military saying – now passe – “Smoke break Light ‘em if you got ‘em.”

Just remember we’re talking about jobs here. Light’em if you got ‘em. Just hang on to ‘em.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
