Once again the day begins as a conundrum – no municipal water. Almost as important is no notification, or explanation.

Watching Fox and Friends this morning and one of their stories concerned some actor walking out of an interview on British Television.

The actor had appeared on the interview pimping a new film and the host of the program began to ask the actor about his past personal life of drugs and misbehavior, at which point the actor walked out.

Granted the story is a story and F and F is in the business of finding and reporting on such.

The hosts of F and F editorialized. They were of the opinion that the actor was incorrect for walking out and the host asking the personal questions was acting proper, saying at one point that an interview of that sort was “using” the program to pimp an actors film.

I find the three F and F folks pretty shallow in that segment. The actor has been out of the news for some time and is trying (I suppose) trying to move on (not that I like the actor at all) with his life. Also, about the next time F and F has a book promotion, or a Broadway play to pimp, I hope that someone reminds the three of what they say they believe – especially when the book or tour they promote is one of their people and ask an embarrassing question of past indiscretion of the person they promote.

Barring that they should, perhaps, stick to the promo material and stop being bored by the process as best they might. Unless they have a real time story to relate about the person, with facts, not rumors.

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
