Parsons PD make KDOC warrant arrest
Now that is all well and good, you know. They got their man. However. There is some concern here for grandstanding on the part of the police or the reporter:
The Parsons Police Department is conducting a thorough investigation. The Police Department would appreciate any information leading to the identity of the unknown female and her child, as the police department would like to verify their safety and well-being. Please contact the Parsons Police Department
So. Case pending.
Spent the Sunday being sociable and kissy faced with total strangers. Horrors. They were fairly nice people, just not my kind.
This morning I started in on the first of the seasons mowing. It didn’t take long to discover I’d forgotten to sharpen the Dixon’s blades last fall. Got that done and went ahead and decapitated the new grasses in a relative easy test.
And discovered that the barr ditch south and west was flooded. Looked up the councilor that lives nearby and discovered that the water meter for the commercial business across the old highway was leaking – on the village side – and has been since Sep last year.
The councilor stated that he had called the Mayor to have them come out and fix the problem, but, he felt, “the lazy f____ing a__ed mofo’s in the maintenance section probably wouldn’t make it for several days if not a month or more. “
I acted my normal self and began probing a bit. Seems that they raised our rates on water, claiming it was a loan repayment, for monies we haven’t yet received, to pay for new village pipes. Which we knew, having to write the checks.
But, I asked, we have the maintenance man on the payroll full time, why not fix the water line as it will be several months before the new pipes are in? To that, the answer, the councilor said; “The other three councilors voted for the loan, he wasn’t there.”
And THAT was all the answer I received.
The councilor I was talking with has certainly come a long way as a politic an. He’s always been rather un-truthful, but never quite that quick on his feet.
