That was a good football game last night. Oakland tried to do to K.C. what K.C. does to other teams. Oakland wasn’t quite as fast, but they did rush the K.C. backfield with conviction.

Enjoyed the game.

Spent an hour or so with a Sheriffs deputy. We looked through the security camera files and he is to come back sometime this morning to download the files from disk. He suggests that taking the information back to the office would allow him and detectives to go over them fairly extensively.

Being as there was several hundred dollars in checks that went missing from the mail box I’m amiable to almost whatever he thinks best in that area.

In a way, stealing mail is a senseless act, but missing payments, not to say much of stealing the money if one can cleanse the checks, is detrimental to the victims credit rating and leads to huge deposits simply to satisfy another’s craving for something for nothing.

I hope the video is blank. I really do. I don’t mind making a mistake, like forgetting to put the envelopes in the mail box, but the check book says I wrote the checks, the out bound letter box on the desk is empty, and I’ll have to wait for a couple of days to phone the business’s to see if payments arrived – just incase I’m fibbing about anything and not knowing it.

The security cameras, so far, tell the same story I’ve related to the deputy’s.

Fun on the farm. Gotta love small towns.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
