Yesterday was a my day. I did just about everything I wanted – to include being lazy. Not that I needed another lazy day, just that it felt like I did.

Today? Different. I’ve been cleaning out closets. All those nooks and crannies one visits once in a decade or so.

I’ve collected shirts that no longer match my body shape; several jackets that are dido. Stuff like that. I’m not much for the Goodwill stores, but there is one store I will give to:

SALINA, Kan. –

Everyday people are lined up against the wall at the Ashby House Free Store. They’re here to get free produce and clothes, but now, that it’s getting colder, the line is starting to get longer.

Patrick Parker is one of the workers at the Free Store. He says he’s amazed more people don’t know they can come in and get everything for free.

Not that I give often, you understand, just that every decade when the closets get full of STUFF that doesn’t see the light of day that often. Just when I open it to stuff stuff into it I no longer use or need.

That front the weather people have been carping about got here last night. Dog thinks that honoring the barking of the neighborhood dogs is for lesser beings. He stays in bed, cocks and ear, can’t be bothered to want out. I always knew he had more brains than the average dog. Just an All American Mutt – takes the low line every time.

How’s it feel to be stupid? ObamaCare given truth and it doesn’t stand tall at all. Only one smart Justice on the Supreme Court – not true, of course, the only one that called it a tax, you know. Unfortunately, he had the vote that passed the damn bill, as a tax, which is how Holders agents presented it to the court, and which was lie revealed.

I’m wondering now what the youth and women, and minorities are thinking now the Democrats are wiping egg from their collective. I still remember the TV pictures of the Republicans sitting silent in the chamber as the votes were tallied as ObamaCare passed. Knowing they didn’t have the votes to stop it.

Foggy Bottom Potomac business.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
