Monday already. Fourth week of Football season ends tonight. The Fourth week!

Well. The Redskins are still in the NFL. There are some individual folks that aren’t. One reads that and, if you’re me, start thinking of millions of dollars going back into the league owners pockets. That’s a lot of hot dogs and beer, man, a lot of them.

The nature imitators were around again last night. Not the near neighbor this time, the city councilors son. Another spoiled little drug user. No matter, he was born to it and  its condoned in the family. That’ll not change. His thing is to bring his dog around with him and his call noise I haven’t yet placed. He had a problem last night, his relative, a puppy mill owner let out her dogs about the time he came around and the puppy mill bunch are about as noisy as a pack of small yappers can get.

It was kind of funny watching him trying to quiet six barking yappers while trying to sneak up on the house. The kid was polite, however. He never told the pack to shut up, he told them to hush.

It was cool last night and we have hopes for a cold fron through tonight, with luck this afternoon.

I haven’t figured out who will come by this night. Whether the same as last night, or the two from up the hill. I don’t think the near neighbor. His family has warned himm off after two consecutive nights.

The village still hasn’t figured out what they want to do with the well in the village center. They are contemplating borrowing a few hundred  thousand dollars to improve the village water system – you got it. They will raise the rates first.

I love small towns.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
