Made it back from another of THOSE trips. Five million VN War Vets and it seems I know every one that is leaving the coil.

This one was a VA patient. Don’t believe any hanky-pank was going on with his records, however.

All the rain has given the cool weather grasses hope for the immediate future. Chore one when I get resettled will be lopping off the head of the uprising.

My two hundred and many plus pound near neighbor posing as a dove at midnight has gain some one to accompany him on his nightly rounds. The near neighbor doesn’t do a very good Dove. His friend isn’t too bad, just too repetitious. Probably as loquacious as a person as a Dove. Near neighbor doesn’t do well as a Raven either, come to think of it. He does do a fairly good dog, though. That one probably comes long in the family.

I did have fun the evening before I left chasing him about the property in the truck. Yes, I did consider running him down, but as I hadn’t caught him doing anything destructive, I gave up on the idea.No point doing myself harm hurting him.

He does run well for an older citizen, however. Pretty well, indeed.

Must be the practice he gets.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
