A rather interesting article on current thinking within the state concerning guns:

New law expands sale of confiscated guns

House Bill 2578 ammeds current statutes and creates new provisions concerning guns

This past week has been full of fuss and bother.

Renter has acquired two of his proposed calves and still has dibs on the grass. I’ve come close to calling off the deal but do miss the calves around.

I’m changing from a P.O. Box to a straight street address. The fuss has been the placement of the  mail box. Even the villagers need a mail box on the streets, rather than on the houses. The problem is the placement of the box.

With the new system of Post Masters in  a central hub, and all others are part time assistants, one must wait for certain permissions after the post master survey’s the route and gives permission for the carrier to stop here or there.

A coyote has been teasing the dog. Poor dog. I went out yesterday morning and the dog was staring off into distances known only to dogs. Across the four and ahalf foot fence sat a coyote, tongue hanging out, laughing, I think, at poor dog. Dog was doing his best to ignore the bore in the weeds like and neither paid me much mind, nor would they give up their relative positions until I chuck a last years walnut at the coyote.

If you’ve spent much time around animals, you know how much bullying they can do when they have a situation figured out.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
