There is news the Aussie’s spy in the sky saw something in the water; that of the French saw something; those of the Chinese has seen several; the American planes find nothing; several unidentified ships have found nothing – the world is unable to honor Aussie, French or Chinese points.

That was in case your following the search for a missing aircraft, 239 folks and I wonder how much longer before we admit to ourselves the mystery is more intriguing than the hope of rescue.

We demand closure.

What we’ll probably get is two years of waiting. Funny, really, how so much of the world shares the basic desire for solution and is quite willing to forgo hard news for speculation.

Now.

Auto Club Speedway – Fontana, CA

I’m sure it won’t be basketball, although I will take time from the race to view the scores. I won’t make a prediction, either. The Gods won’t whisper in my ear – “tough shit, fellow.”

I’ve learned there are five gardens in the village. I’ve now tilled three. I’m thinking of ways to eliminate the other retired person around here with a tiller and then I’ll have all five to till each year.

Well. Not really. The other guy is a good dude. Retired fireman type. Actually, he was the volunteer fire chief for the township and has a finger in lots of civic building endeavors. He’s also a member of the old folks club – to say a member of the Senior Citizens Group that share village power with 1/3 o-f the power structure.

The elected folks have 1/3 and the youth movement has 1/3. The Co – Op manager fights with all three, preference going to the village elected.

The reason the Co – Op is in there is because they are the largest employer in the village. The trucking concern is just outside the limits and most of their drivers are self employed.

An interesting little place to visit. The largest problem is there is absolutely nothing to see, one must live here for awhile.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
