The snow, the fog, the ice – the plunging temperatures (from 30 to 28 degrees).
Snicker. It is winter. It is. I’m happy (and snug) from the grocers trip yesterday and did catch a sniffle from some one of all the bodies I bounced among there. Still.. Visibility is down to less than a quarter mile, light snow that doesn’t seem to be exhausted as yet.
News up-date: The young fellow that shot his brother late last year plea bargained a second degree murder. That dropped the first and a weapons charge. He, after a background check is probably facing sixteen to thirty years.
A man I’ve mentioned as a drug suspect faced his second arraignment. (Seems like when the wheels come off all ones past sins come to visit).
A man here in the village was arrested for stealing the metal he was using to build a shed behind his home. The police were forced to tear down the evidence for storage. (Some how that just seems funny to write and hear).
And a host of other suspects have hit the court system for the umpteenth time. Some names seem to be life linked to each other.
Now that the NFL has broken the Domed Fields only bar for the Super Bowl the rush is on:

Now that the first New York/New Jersey Super Bowl was a smashing success for everyone except the Denver Broncos and their fans, NFL owners in other cold-weather cities are sure to be lining up to try to bring the Big Game to their stadiums.
Maybe they should make the winner of the Super Bowl stadium the site of the following Super Bowl.
Of course, the loss of all the money on bidding would severely crimp the NFL’s style if the solution were all that easy.
