.Friday didn’t do a thing for me. I posted one picture on the blog and sent one to someone I thought needed a smile.

Both gleaned from Bings Web Images. Quite a wall Bing posts for the World. It is difficult to resist the urge to visit and grab some of those photos and posters, until one remembers that they’ll be there for some time – until the government decides to flip the switch and make the world go dark.’

I’ve never really understood how some people believe. I mean, if the web was created by the government, how could not the government contr(ol the web if it wished.

No. There had to be a more, not sinister reason, in-depth reason. Government has many tools. It has regulations, laws, hundreds of widely separated thinkers in thousands of fields ‘of knowledge, and it has time.

Now, I’m talking time beyond the average span of normal man’s flowing juices time. That creative time. Government has more time than that. As a matter of fact, government is able to rejuvenate its energies by hiring more of the correct age and allowing the older heads to observe their dreams made reality by that energy, following the bone trails of the older.

And information is that control. He who holds the paper last is ruler. The paper contains information, information gleaned by the questionnaires of censuses,  school boards and consolidated school systems, and the web. So leave the web feeling uncontrolled and freefor a while then use it; leave the free to leap the mists and wisps of dust and vacuum the air gathering the information.

It all lends knowledge and control.

I think I’ll call Saturdays Blue Saturdays. That’s the day one sheds the strictures of structured work, and barring the ‘personal days’ stolen from productive work during the week, Saturday is the day of personal work.

Think about it.y

It is the day for errands not performed during the week. The wash day. The cleaning day. The leaf raking lawn mowing day. The car washing day, The Banking day. The shopping day. The off-grid day (Hello! Man, I can’t talk right now I’m up to my ears, I’ll call you later, day. The day one sets aside to achieve all the things that will make life more easy, gentler, smoother next week day.)

Yeah. Saturday. Blue Saturday. That’s what I think I”ll call it.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
