Where to get cheap beerQuartz

And now that you’ve found it, try a Google search for the cheapest airfares.

Just one of the many things I worry about during the quiet days of winter.

Which reminds me; Housekeeper called me a hermit. She was telling me that her hubby wanted to go back to the diamond pits on vacation this year and I was ragging her about all off she takes each year.

Her disclaimer was that she deserved the time off. Those short three and four day weekends she takes  each quarter are not really expensive or very long – all they do she claims is go fishing.

That comment got me to laughing. Last year they went on vacation with two friends and they were fishing. The other guy caught a very large carp and through it onto the bank. The guys dog took the fish under the trailer and it was very hot out.

Housekeeper said the guys tried to get the women to go under the trailer and remove the stinky fish and ended moving the trailer to get to it after all attempts with the women failed – even though, Housekeeper said, the women were the ones complaining.

This will be her third time to the diamond pit, the second to please her hubby. She wants to go to the mountains.

The rain ad drizzle the weather man promised hasn’t materialized. Just clouds and damp winds. Makes a body wonder how Kansas keeps a timber industry.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
