I’m afraid to read the archieves. I think I’ve been using December in lue of January. Oh, Boy.

Happy Birthday Brother. I know it was yesterday, but I was busy waiting for the BCS Bowl game and had little else on my mind.

And it is winter. One expects bad weather.  And one expects snows and cold. It’s this stuff that bugs one:

Tomorrow

Freezing Drizzle

If it is moisture, and God knows we need moisture, then snow, please.

Speaking of moisture. I drove twenty miles to a car wash without thinking yesterday. The wash was closed. Of course, the temps were 0 degrees to nine above. No reason for to close the wash.

Fool that I am for not thinking beyond the fact that my black parka was half black.  Brown, dirty brown from the truck, on the front and black on the back. Yeah. I did have hay in my hair also.

By the way, it was a good football game.

The dra-mama mouth has had a rest. Now it begins to run again. I listened to his push to re-instate the un-employment checks. Those folks have had two years of free money to find something (which granted was not unreasonable) during the time the government was pulling its pecker.

Government is not the answer. Less government is. We do need some of it. But how much has been exceeded I do believe.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
