The cold, forecast for Sunday, arrived late Monday. I was happy that it took its time, considering the activities going on yesterday. I spent the day hanging about a cemetery or two. The cause was just. Getting to them was time consuming and baby was tired when he returned home.

A grandmother called me (the ex-deputies grandmother) wanting me to lift a washer/dryer to the second floor of her home with the tractorTuesday afternoon. A strange caller, she. Her daughter came and got me last time (removing the old stuff, six months or so ago). The great -grandmother died and the house was renovated and this will be the last installation required.

I was surprised. The ex-husbands of the ex-deputies mother and aunt don’t like me much. In fact, they have actively worked against me in the coffee shops. Strange people I live among.

Speaking of strange. An article in the eNews feeds listed all of dra-mama’s transgressions yesterday. His administration had a list for sure.  I wo. n’t copy that here, if I can even find it again.

The subject is popular with me because I’m intrigued by the rise in crime rates and the sliding morality of the crime to the female side. Violent crime. I’ve often wondered what possesses the female’s. They’ve had it fairly well with the legal side of society and are now breaking barriers trying to go to jail.

The reasons for them being there weren’t given, but the town has several schools of various kinds and a fairly large transit population.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
