Critics caution against governor’s plan to merge Kansas Turnpike, transportation department

Efficiency or rape? We’re talking about 2B dollars here, so it is more on the order of rape.

For those that do not know, the Toll Road in question  runs from KC to Wichita to the Ok border. The speeds are at 65 mph or higher the entire distance, without a stop sign in sight. The road is, with exceptions around Wichita and Lawrence,  baby bottom smooth.

It’ll be a pity of darkness if the State gets their hands on that money. And shame on them for even trying.

The road was started as a private company and over the years steadily improved, pampered and has turned the State into a drive through, as well as a fly-over, State. The biggest draw back is gas consumption is high at the speeds available to the driver. A dream to drive, however, in these United States.

I’m sure you’ve seen the Courts decision against dra-mama the duplicitous.  There’s been a great deal of hype about it.

There’s also been discussion about the year of so of decisions the wrongly appointed people have made favoring the unions – which is what prompted the law suit to be brought by the legislative branch in the second place. The first being, of course, the Administrative stepping on the toes of the legislature powers.

I was listening yesterday to the pundits and talking heads expound on the theme, in between bouts of   Hillary the liar and DOJ the sly, and got to wondering if it would even be possible to catalog all the court cases AGAINST the administration, already settled.

Then I realized some of the things I’d think were court cases, weren’t. That no one had taken to court, only hype in the media. Which, I thought, was a pity. And thinking that, I realized that even the incidents taken to court and adjudicated against the administration were useless because the decisions were ignored by the administration, and the courts are really pretty helpless to enforce decisions.

All the enforcement arms are controlled by the Administration. Which is a spooky thought, considering that Home Land Security is now the second largest armed force in the United States and is solely owned and operated by the Administration.

Who is now after the average citizen’s weaponry.

The citizens being, of course, charged by the constitution, with changing the government by force if necessary.

Speaking of which, have you noticed that the slimy press, collectively the main stream media, is attempting to set cities against country over the gun rights issue? Divide and conquer – or at least get half your pie and promise to come back later for another half. Well, imply they’ll not be back, while, if you’re a thinker, you know they will be back for another half because they haven’t gotten their hundred percent way the first time.

Another house fire last evening (evening being after 16oo hrs). I don’t know the results. The winds however, were over twenty mph the majority of the day. Wet winds, therefore cool. Requiring heating.

I’ve been losing my virtual dollars at the virtual poker tables. I’ve been stupid, playing with resignation and when tired.

Yesterday, around noon, fed, well rested and eager – I do not generally play on-line on the weekend – I opened a table and the system was everything I haven’t been getting. The expression if “Hit in the face with the deck.”

It felt pretty good to close out the Five Card Draw table having doubled up. It felt good to close out the PLO8 table having a higher bank role.

Such is life. Still, it was better than a great many other things.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
