Good evening.

Well, it is evening my day time.

It’s been one of those “I’m sorry I’m me” type of days. Usually I collect gas worrying over little, and once it passes I’m good to go.

It’s passed.

I appreciate the visits from two strangers, and the visits from elsewhere – meaning places I didn’t know they even had the internet.

Google has come out with several mods this week. I scalped this link and description from their news letter:

Introducing Google Building Maker

Here is a fun and simple online tool for creating 3D buildings in
Google Earth, called Google Building Maker. This tool makes it
possible for anyone with a web browser to make high-quality, photo-
textured 3D models. It works like a very large, and very smart,
collection of building blocks: By assembling the blocks to match the
shape of your favorite building, you can make a whole 3D building in a
few minutes. Building Maker is available for 50 cities and in 14

I, in the mean time, have been thinking about W7. It is rapidly becoming a jungle for OS and Google appears to be competing heavily. Soon, I think, I’ll have to choose ONE system and forget the others. Exclusive stuff this software.

A favorite Train Conductor/Engineer penned a piece today. He wondered at the logic of the Halloween custom of taking your young daughters (or sending them out alone) to strangers homes – to collect candy.

In a way, that is a stand alone, and a very provocative, statement. Think about it.

Spooky thought, wasn’t it?

And in the evening usually, in the dark for certain, though he talked afternoon.

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.
