Hello,  Okie-Vegas.  Hope you’re enjoying the weekend.  Obscenity.  Fast fore ward.  New Subject.

**

Finished one writing project.  Sent.  Results pending.  General feeling about it:  Undecided.

Usually I’m thinking anything I write is somewhere above sliced bread and slightly lower than a paying job.

**

Casually following the Vick story.  Dog fighting contest are most everywhere – which doesn’t make it right.  We have had them in this area.

Me speak:  They are wrong.

Most striking thing to come out of the story thus far:  The picture of one of the dogs.

Normally I expect a life bright glint in the eyes of that breed.  The picture showed the saddest eyes I believe I have ever seen in a dog.  Enough to freeze the heart of politician.

Do believe the NFL needs to separate relations with Mr Vick.

Three days ago,  I saw a lady.  I had an inkling.

This morning I got to thinking about an Eddings book of the Belgardian Series,  where Polgara tells Garion:  “A well planned seduction does have a certain charm.”

It occurs to me;  I have three options:  Think about this further;  find the lady again;  forget about it.

I’m more the spontaneous sort,  I believe.

Poker:

Minus seven dollars this past week.  Pushed middle set in PLO8 beyond their reasonable expectation,  which accounted for most of the loss.

Was willing to try Seven Stud at one point,  just to change life some.  No one would enter the room with me (virtual).

Sad,  that.  One wonders what the mystery is to the game.

My Harry Potter book is ready for pick-up at the post office.  Should I care?

About tenwhiskey

User tenwhiskey is also the author of this blog. He currently lives in small town Kansas in a semi-retired condition. His kids are married and gone (thank you). An empty nester. Divorced. Very happy with life as it is. Ten Mile maintains a personal blog here, writing of events as they appear to him; commentary, and opinions abound. He deviates into fiction as the mood strikes and creates flash fiction stories and short stories. He will not warn the reader when he drifts from fact to fiction. He feels adults are, generally, smart enough to figure out which is which. He does, however, attempt to make his fiction sound as true to life as possible. You have been warned. He, as time permits, writes and occasionally sells writing. More often than not he gives it away to various non-paying publishers of Ether Magazines, forums or for entertainment on a wall for in need of a hand friends. He likes candy, pies and a certain amount of strife. In the matter of strife - in his yourth on the farm, he became embroiled in a slinging fight. The fight involved lath as a launcher, fresh cow patties as ammo and it was a six way free for all. A little mud only adds (Umm?) a certain taste to life.

Skidoo, Sir. How do you be? Been reading the trip reports – Kat hasn’t said much yet it seems.Enjoyed them so far – which is to say I don’t expect to dislike them later.I’m about half way through the work scheduled this year on the house. Wish the flooding hadn’t delayed the project. Not my flooding – the contractors brother was pretty well washed and needed help, so my work was delayed. Had actually planned to attend until that happened. Very happy you all enjoyed your visit. Truckin’: Well, yes. I’ll tell you a secret. I have told others that I do not play on-line by my pen name on the blog. No where. Umm, the secret is I don’t write anywhere on-line by my pen name on the blog.So. You never know.
